Hello, friends!
Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely holiday season.
I want to share with you the last two quilts of 2016.
A new baby boy came into our family two months ago and naturally, I wanted to sew a quilt for him. A warm and soft little quilt, perfect for our frosty winters.
I thought to make the baby-boy version of this quilt.
I love so much this fabric (Sunbonnet Emma and Friends, you can still find it in this shop), that so I thought that the one on light blue background looks good for a baby boy (anyway, there is not any other baby fabric in my stash, so I did not spend too much time choosing the fabrics!).
The batting is 100% wool.
And the minky! I just couldn’t find in our shops a fabric with better colors for a baby boy (excepting navy and dark gray, but I wanted light colors). Who says a baby boy can’t enjoy pink?
Anyway, when the quilt was done, I thought that one with more blue would have been better. And I made one, I will share it tomorrow!
Have a wonderful sewing day!
