Hello friends!
Do you buy precuts? When I see a collection I really love, I like to buy a fat quarter bundle. I like to see that beautiful fabric on many small projects!
A few months ago I had to make a quilt in a day and the squares of a few charm packs saved my sanity and made me a productive quilter!! This is the other benefit of using precuts: it saves you time! No need to find in your stash matching fabrics and to cut, just start sewing!
Now that you have some precuts in your stash, what to do with them?
My fellow C&T author, Tricia Maloney, has a new book, I Love Precut Quilts! and I am glad to share a few projects from the book with you.
There are 16+ beginner to intermediate projects including placemats, runners, wall quilts, throws, and large bed-sized quilts.
• The projects are modern but feature traditional piecing and blocks.
• There are color options, size options, a discussion about color theory, and even a bonus pillow project.
These are just a few quilts that caught my attention; some of them are very easy to sew, perfect for beginners!
