These days I am playing with faux leather.
I wanted to cut out a pattern from it and I tried the technique on a small thing.
I printed the pattern on paper and I created a stencil. I used a stencil cutter from Olfa. Then I transferred the pattern to the back of the faux leather and cut it out – with the same stencil cutter.
It worked wonderfully.
I made a cardholder.
On the back there is another pocket.
I love, LOVE the technique! And I will use it again – I think more sophisticated things could be created.
Have a great weekend,
Geta

That's such a fun technique! Now I might actually know what to do with some leather scraps I picked up a few years back 😉 Thank you!

Wow–these would make great stocking stuffers. Did you stitch them on a regular sewing machine? Did it require a special needle? Thanks for the inspiration!
