It’s summer and here there is a high demand for bags: for my sisters, sisters’ friends, my friends, some little girls.
Today ‘s request was for a red bag; geometric print; it’s all I could find in my stash!
The print is Fly a Kite by October Afternoon for Riley Blake Designs; and the red is Mixmasters from Robert Kaufman. I had a lot of prints from this extended collection, designed by Patrick Lose.
New acquisition from a Romanian shop – FABRIX. I totally understand you when you order fabric much more often than you really need; it is so good to see something you like, make an order in
minutes and then have it the second day! But I HAD to make this order; I need red fabric.
Do you remember these mini-bags? I don’t have any. 7 little girls enjoy them. Some of them even sleep with them! I can understand why!
But I have these beautiful prints (all are Robert Kaufman, I think). From FABRIX too. So I have to make some new mini bags too.
I bought a bold of Decovil light; it’s so good not to check every time if you have enough interfacing for a bag! I think I have enough for one year!
I promise I will make some pictures so you can see the difference between different types of interfacing.
What could be worse, in a hot summer day, than keeping a wool quilt in the lap, while quilting ? Fusing interfacing to fabric! Which I have to do now! So enjoy your quilts!
Happy sewing!

love the fabrics in your new bag! I am working on a child size bag in that pattern and will send pics when it is finished. This new pattern has become one of my favorites!

I love your bags! What is the Decovil light? Is it a Cotton batting?
Have a nice day!
