It’s easy and the effect is great.
And here is a favorite thing for the Quilter’s Favorites.
I love cotton batting, the quilt top sticks so nicely to it, meaning much less chances to develop creases during the quilting.
I was puzzled when I read a few days ago that batting (probably not all batting) has a right and a wrong side; I looked at the Quilter’s Dream batting I used for my latest quilt; it seams the sides are slightly different. Of course, I put mine in the quilt sandwich with the wrong side up!
Do you pay attention to the batting’s sides ?

That's something my mother taught me, that every fabric has a right side and a wrong side – however knowing it doesn't prevent putting the wrong side up 🙂 Have a great Sunday, dear! Hugs!

I have several quilts where I used the wrong side of the fabric because it worked better. Who knew there was a wrong side to batting. I've probably been using the wrong side for years 🙂

I never knew there's a wrong side to batting ~ how do you tell the difference?

I learned (and I can't remember where!) that you want to put the batting up the same side it was needle-punched, so that the needle goes in the same way and doesn't tear the fibers as much. Don't know if this is an urban legend or if it is true, but that's what I do. I hope someone has time to research this so the truth can be known!
