Here is a new free quilt design for my newsletter subscribers- it is great for free motion quilting practice.
You know I adore free motion quilting. For this little piece, I used Aurifil 28wt thread.
If you haven’t used this weight yet, give it a try.
It’s heavier than the thread we usually use for quilting (40wt or 50wt) but my sewing machine did not notice the difference: it sews beautifully with it!
In the bobbin I used Aurifil 50wt thread.
Because the thread is heavier, the color is more visible on the quilt; this weight is great to use when you want to give definition to your quilting.
And the beautiful spools!!
