We already have 30 flowers!
I will use this chocolate fabric to connect the flowers.
I will use this chocolate fabric to connect the flowers.
We made a few flowers just from solids – gorgeous!
For a few we mixed solids with prints.
I gave up to the idea of joining the flowers with diamonds.
I tried to make one and I couldn’t do it.
I really can’t imagine how those sharp points could be achieved (regardless of the size). Probably a sturdy template is a must ( I made mine from regular paper).
I know many people do it – they are my hero! Could you give us a hint?
So I decided to join them with hexagons – my sisters are very happy!
At least 30 more to make!
Have a beautiful day!

That chocolate fabric is gorgeous for it. Seeing the flowers laid out on the fabric, I like the hexagon connection a lot better than the diamond connection. I think diamonds would not let enough chocolate show for a great balance in this instance.

Oh wow! Lovely. Absolutely. Yummy, too. As for the diamonds, yes, I do know how to do those with Inklingo. I use that all the time. There's a link on my blog. Top right corner. You may not be interested now but at least you'll know it's there in the future.

Love, love your colours. The brown looks fantastic. I'm working on a hexie project too. Started to join a few together yesterday, but am not sure I like it, as I can see my whip stitches on the front. I've gotten better as I went along, but they aren't as good as I'd like. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. 🙁
