A few days ago I ordered a pack of batting samples from http://www.asding.com//.
Today I received the order (thank you, Alison!) and inside the package I discovered…33 samples ! Hard to choose the best batting for my next projects…I have to sew a few samples.
I saw for the first time wool batting ! Soft and nice to the touch ! I love it ! This reminds me how excited I was when I saw and used for the first time cotton batting ! Of course, here I can’t find anything else than polyester batting.

I hope bamboo was among those samples. I'm going to use it for my Lancaster Season quilt. It feels so silky soft—-

They do look good against the backdrop of your lovely quilt Geta :o). There are lots more than 33 battings on the market, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Wool is very popular, a soft, natural product and also lighter weight than cotton, I love quilting with it. It's not until you get them all together that you realise how different from each other they are and how much they affect the finished look & feel of your quilt.
