1. Quilted Vinyl Pouch pattern
Have you ever asked yourself how to add beauty to a simple pouch or bag?
The quickest and easiest way: with quilting!
But how to quilt vinyl?
How to quilt a complex design on vinyl?
It's easy! You quilt THROUGH PAPER!
I have years and years of experience of quilting through paper. Do you remember my shadow trapunto quilts? It's quilting on organza +batting through paper!
So I can tell you with all the confidence that quilting on vinyl is INCREDIBLY EASY!
In 10 minutes and just a few steps you will have a quilted panel for a pouch!
You interface the vinyl first (with foam) than you add the paper on top of the interfacing and you are ready for sewing.
You sew from the back side of the piece, and this makes removing the paper a breeze! No problem if some paper residues remain in the stitching; it's all hidden on the back of the piece.
Bobbin thread work made easy
The bobbin thread shows on the vinyl so this is your chance to prove yourself how easy it is to produce beautiful work with thick thread (like 28wt or even 12wt thread).
The pattern includes 4 designs, one of them (the green design) is free motion quilted.
