Clean, simple, modern look.
Sewing these pouches is FUN.
If you know a few tricks!
For many years I wanted to sew a boxy pouch and I always thought that it needs a certain type of interfacing.
You never know for sure until you sit at the sewing machine and sew...
Lots and lots of pouches, with different types of interfacing and different fabrics...
To my surprise, the interfacing I thought will work best was the worst option!
But...
the good news is...
It was my fault!
You can combine fabric and interfacing into a pouch that looks great but what is more important...
the right combination and a few tips will make your sewing experience EASY & FUN!
Introducing
Box Pouch Pattern
One technique.
One pattern.
Three designs.
Lots of variations.
Quick technique
Once you understand what causes the trouble in this pattern and learn the technique, you will be able to sew a pouch in less than 30 minutes!
These pouches have a cube shape, but you can vary the size of the fabric pieces and make taller pouches, or longer, rectangular pouches.
The pouches below measure about 4'' x 4'' x 4''.
These are the cutest ones!
The pink pouch measures 5'' x 3'' x 2''.
Versatile pattern
This pouch looks different, right?
One seam - the final seam of the sewing technique, makes the difference between the two designs.
This design is expandable!
Here is the flat pouch, if you need to store only a few items.
Here is the same pouch storing lots of items!
Shoe bags!
Use waterproof fabric and sew shoe bags (or other storage bags that benefit from such fabric) in record time!
Two-color pouches
A different design, made with two fabrics. It's actually more than just a change of the look. In some circumstances, it makes the sewing easier.
Made with faux leather and lace zipper.
Different sizes...
Measurements for different sizes are included in the pattern.
Having fun combining colors.
Using faux leather/vinyl is my favorite option
No need for interfacing - FASTEST pouch to sew!
Saying again! Faux leather pouches are the best!
The faux leather gives shape to the pouch like no other fabric+interfacing combination!
Easier sewing
You probably don't see it, but there is a small change (from the original pattern) at these pouches. That change makes the sewing much easier.
Exposed zipper
If you have zippers with decorative tape, don't hide it!
It is easy to sew pouches with exposed zipper.
20 Minutes is all you need
You don't need more than 20 minutes for a pouch without interfacing.
Don't hide it in a bag!
The shape is so beautiful that you don't want to hide it inside a bag.
You can use it as a little bag for a walk in the park (great for little girls) or for storing craft supplies or other small items in the house.
ONE MORE IDEA!
Learn how to add straps to the boxy pouch and turn it into a little bag.
Three designs are included.
These little bags measure 10'' x 5'' x 4''.
I made 26 pouches for this pattern!
Because it's quick, easy and fun!
Now to find recipients for them!
