I love swirl designs. I have made many lately and I thought it’s time to use at least one of them.

I love the simplicity of two color designs!
And the different shapes.

Great for Christmas!

So beautiful in 3 and 4 colors – yes, too many possibilities!

SO here is what I made. A coaster.

Wait ! Two coasters! With the same design!
Hey, there are so many designs, why did you make two with the same design?

Here is what I did:
I transferred the design to fusible web – once!
I fused the web to fabric – once!
I cut the appliqué pieces -once!
Then…SURPRISE! I ended up with applique pieces for two coasters! With the same amount of work and fabric required for one piece!

I LOVE this more than I can say! And it works the same for all these designs!
And these coasters are such QUICK project! I used a double side fusible heavyweight interfacing (Fast2Fuse, Peltex is similar); I fused everything then I sewed a spiral through all the layers and I finished the edge with a zig zag stitch and variegated thread – no binding!
