I am back to sewing. I was about to write "back to work", but this is not true. Even if I did not sew at all in the last month, I worked a lot. No secret projects, nothing exciting (I do have an exciting news though, but it has to wait two more weeks!), just life with good and bad, more bad this time:). I did not stitch at least one hexagon ! But I spent some time on the computer and I just … [Read more...]

New hexagon project
I started a new hexy quilt. I rarely watch TV but now I can't do it without stitching hexies. Nina is my only sister who still could find some time for sewing, so last evening I called her asking if she is ready for work. The answer was "YES" .We will make the "Hexy Cubes". I am bored of 3/4'' hexagons, 1/2'' seams too small so I printed the 1'' templates at 60%. It is easy to … [Read more...]

Enjoying my quilting friends
I usually have the pleasure to see my quilting friends once in a few years. And we enjoy sharing our love for quilting for a few hours, maybe one day. But this time was different! I invited my quilting friends to my house over the weekend. Only 4 of them could come and we spent together 48 hours. Mihaela made a tote for each of us - a souvenir of our meeting! Mini hexagon flowers
I am planning new gifts for me and my sisters who helped me to sew the hexagon quilt. I hope a more inspired one than the latest try! I like what I have made until now... Who wouldn't like it? 1/2'' hexagons. But how about this ? 1/4'' hexagons. I had to try to work with this size and it is not as complicated as I thought! I like this flower too, it should fit to a 2 year old baby. I … [Read more...]
WIP Wednesday
It could look like this: or like this, but there is even more - I am still working on it. I found in a hobby shop near me some beads - fimo, polymer clay, I am not sure, but they are so nicely painted. I am glad to support Romanian shops and artisans! I am more obsessed than ever with apples and I found some nice buttons. I found even an apple tape! I’m linking up with … [Read more...]
