Quilt-As-You-Go
This technique takes away your fear of free motion quilting large quilts.
I have been quilting for 17 years but I still notice the difference between quilting a small quilt and quilting a big quilt.
This project is wonderful for beginning quilters.
The blocks of this quilt were individually free motion quilted then they were “pieced” together using this easy technique: quilt-as-you-go.
Not too much time for quilting?

2. Rainbow Flower Garden
- wholecloth quilt pattern -

Design 1: 65” flower sphere +hexagon background - 80'' quilt
Design 2: 65” flower sphere (without background design)
Design 3: 40” flower sphere
Design 4: 20” flower sphere- the best option for beginners
2 Easy Steps
- Transfer the design to fabric
- Free motion quilt feathers on the hexagon flowers, using colored thread.
You can quilt with thread in different thicknesses. I quilted with Aurifil 12wt (a very thick thread). 28/30wt thread works as well, even 40wt thread. A thick thread gives a striking design and a thin thread a delicate appearance.
Complete instructions on how to quilt feathers on hexagons are included.

Encouraging words from customers
You have helped me so much to build confidence with machine quilting. I’ve been a hand-quilter for many years and it’s hard to learn something that much different but I am!. -Sue
I just wanted to thank you for my sanity. I am learning machine quilting and not enjoying it at all. I was just about ready to give up when I remembered how you hold your hands while you quilt. IT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! I might end up enjoying machine quilting after all.
Thank you so much Geta. -Christine
Your patterns inspire one to want to continue to create something beautiful.
