I am having much fun with this quilt! It's small (38''). You probably think that I am obsessed with feathers! I do love the look of quilted feathers but I love even more that it is so easy to quilt them! If you want to practice and draw feathers on paper, I can assure you that quilting them is easier than drawing them! It's important to quilt on small shapes. This is why I divided the … [Read more...]

Two Color Patchwork Quilt Blocks
I was right that the two color version is beautiful! I posted pictures on Facebook and many quilters asked what pattern I used. For this simple block, this is the pattern - Loving Hugs. To this block I added then other two rows of triangles. I started with 1'' octagon. The finished block measures 14''. Then it was hard to stop! The beautiful fabric is from the Fusions collection … [Read more...]

WIP- patchwork quilt
A new patchwork quilt. At first, I made this block. An octagon surrounded by triangles - from my Loving Hugs quilt pattern. A little math and then I added one more row of triangles. And one more row. I started with a 2'' octagon. The size of the triangles increases exponentially. The final size of the piece is 28''. Of course! Edited to add: Interested to … [Read more...]
Modern Dresden Fan/Plate Quilt
I am happy to finally share with you my new quilt. A version like this I made first in 2011 and since then I have seen many other on Internet. I don't know why it took me so long to make this one, because this block is fun and the result spectacular. To me, the most exciting thing is that no applique or curved piecing is involved. Only easy piecing! There is no sign of spring here yet, so I am … [Read more...]

The collection has wonderful colors, and the multicolor fabrics are really special. So here are my four quilted pillows! The colored design is outlined with quilting, the small white space inside the design remained unquilted. It was fun to … [Read more...]
Pretty Zippered Pouches
I admit: on Friday evening at 8PM, after an exhausting day, the thought that I still have to sew two pouches was overwhelming! But once I started, the whole process was fun, quick and easy. The hardest thing that took me forever was to choose the fabric! I made these pouches for the kids of my future neighbors (hint, hint: we hope to move in our new house by the end of summer!). For a … [Read more...]

Triple Pouch – opinions, please!
I love sewing pouches. I made many Little Wonders, Twice as Nice or sweet lace pouches. And now without too much thinking, I made a triple pouch. A very functional pouch, very spacious, all those three compartments have boxed bottom. But I have a problem with it: it looks like a big, UGLY box! My hubby thinks it is because of the solid fabric - faux suede. Maybe... Maybe I could make it … [Read more...]
