I made a new double pouch; it is a little wrinkly because... it's made with laminated fabric. I always wanted to buy laminated fabric but as it is more expensive and bulkier than the regular cotton, it is still on my wish list. But a few months ago I had a chance to buy "Lamifix" in Romania (Kreativshop) and today I finally laminated fabric. I used the product manufactured by … [Read more...]
Double Zippered Pouch Pattern
I just finished the pattern for the zippered pouch. I used the last 2 cherry prints. I am in love with this fabric collection (Sakura Park by Sentimental Studios for Moda) and I think I could not stitch something more beautiful from it. I made them in 3 different sizes. These ones are stitched with medium weight interfacing and they look gorgeous. Great to use it as a purse … [Read more...]
Label for quilts
Tomorrow I will send the quilt to Houston so that in the last minute I was forced to make a label for it!Since the quilt is so beautiful and special, I thought it deserves a special label. I still have a few scraps from the scrappy background of the quilt, so I thought to make a matching scrappy label.I made the label on computer, printed it on paper, taped the paper onto a window then I copied … [Read more...]

Quilting- Work or Play ?
I saw this question on the cover of The Quilt Life magazine. Probably a few quilters answer to this question inside the magazine, I think it would be interesting to found out their answer. For me, definitely it is PLAY that requires a lot of WORK. Otherwise, I don't understand why I feel guilty when I buy fabrics! Well, sometimes, I am almost depressed. The zippered pouch inside is completely stitched into the lining seam, so that it divides the inside space into three separate compartments. I stitched so many and now I am best friend with zippers. Because I have this fabric collection … [Read more...]
