Do you need some Christmas inspiration ? Today is the first day of the HO HO HO blog hop. A big "thank you" to Madame Samm and Carol, who are hosting this fun event. After weeks of thinking which projects from a long list to make, on Friday I had a "last minute" idea and I started a new quilt. So here is my new hexy quilt. A huge quilt requires a huge bag! This weekend my Romanian quilting friends have a meeting with our friendship quilt. 2 in 1 Zippered Pouches

The zippered pouch inside is completely stitched into the lining seam, so that it divides the inside space into three separate compartments. I stitched so many and now I am best friend with zippers. Because I have this fabric collection … [Read more...]

Christmas Inspiration
Yesterday I found these pictures in an archive from 2008. I made this "Star of David" only with equilateral triangles. At the time I did not know anything about hexagons. I hope to make an easier version this month, I am in the "HO HO HO" blog hop. For the next two I think I cut diamonds from a strip set then I cut them in half; this makes 2 quilts at once. I … [Read more...]
The one with cherries!
I think this is the sixth (since the first trial). I fused interfacing on this one (Vilene S320). It is not soft and puffy but it keeps its shape. And I have a new passion now: for zippers! Now I think I would eat some cherries! Geta … [Read more...]
