Three - for all my lovely readers - thank you for being part of my quilting world and for supporting my quilting journey! Make templates, cut out fabric pieces and applique them onto a background fabric. You could piece the Dresden block as usual - make a paper template and add 1/4'' seam allowances. If you don't like raw edges, you could cover them with bias tape and make a stained … [Read more...]

WIP – Hexy Cubes
My sister Nina gave me a helping hand (or two!) last week and we stitched 3 new cubes. Could you see the cubes ? I hope so! 2 more cubes to make. Could you see the difference between these two pictures ? The same picture, just rotated 180 degrees. I still have time to decide which way to use them. I love the 3D look. The same as in this quilt. Since my paper was very thick, I stitched them together, using … [Read more...]

Baby Quilt Finished
Do you remember Barb's quilt top and its story ? I finished the quilting. I loved doing it and I love that I am part of this story. The quilting is similar with the one I did on my own quilt. I LOVE to quilt tiles on the roof and bricks on the walls! On the white sashings and borders I stitched bubbles and pebbles. Usually, I wash all my quilts before adding the binding. But I am not … [Read more...]
