Well, sort of ! So, in the middle of the hexagon madness, I had the fabulous idea to make something for me and my 3 sisters, to remember us the good times when we stitched hexagons together. Inspired by my latest tote bags, I thought to make a bag for each of us. With hexagons, of course, and with dot fabric, because all of us love dots. I followed my idea, I made hexy flowers in polka dot … [Read more...]
Mini Frame Purse
This is my first frame purse. Inspired by the wonderful frame purses I see everyday on Internet, I had to try to make one myself. I made a very simple pattern, to see how it works. It's easy! I attached the purse to the frame with hand stitches, I suppose it is easier than to work with glue. I am unhappy that my stitches are visible on the inside part. I can't figure out how to make … [Read more...]

New Summer Tote Bags
At first, I made this one. The fabric is "Farmdale" from Alexander Henry. Then I made this one. The same beautiful apples, just smaller... the bag is also smaller, for a mother-daughter team. I also had in my stash these big apples, it's "Apple of My Eye" by Quilted Fish for Riley Blake. Big apples- big tote! I added two zippered pockets (one inside and one outside), to keep safe … [Read more...]

Octagon in octagon
So I started with an1" octagon. The result is also an octagon. I thought to apply the same geometry and I made a bigger block. ...and bigger... ...and bigger... Then I thought it is not big enough (30") and it has too much green so I added one more triangle row (purple and pink). And I made a monster... Much bigger than I wanted... The triangles were cut out from 30'' squares. So … [Read more...]

Organizing Jewelry…
in this treasure chest. At first I thought to make two little boxes. Then I thought a stack of boxes would be even better. I spent some time choosing the fabrics - I think I made the perfect choice ('Connections' collection by Paintbrush Studio for Fabri-Quilt). And because I had 3 colors, I made 3 sets. Please, please, PRETEND the buttons are jewelry! The third set did not fit so … [Read more...]
