Christmas Gift Bags- Decorations
Last week I made my "Pockets with Love" in Christmas fabrics. Practice is the best teacher! If you bought my patterns, here are a few more tips. For a set I used a little heavier interfacing than I usually use and I broke two needles. If you want to make some pockets, stitch using Jeans/Denim needles #90/14. If you want to use them as gift bags or as decorations, you can make them … [Read more...]
Fabric boxes
Do you use interfacing? For making bags, pouches, bowls? Maybe garments? If your answer is positive, I am sure you have many leftovers, small scraps you don’t want to throw to the trash. I consider interfacing (especially the heavyweight one) as valuable as the fabrics I use in my projects. I am happy I found a way to use every bit of it ! These boxes use 5 squares of interfacing. I made … [Read more...]
Labels for quilts
One lesson I don’t want to learn: to add labels to my quilts. I have never paid attention to this detail. Probably because the permanent markers I have are not so permanent…I think that after washing the writing will fade anyway. But my friend Mihaela helped me to become a serious quilter. A few weeks ago I received from her a beautiful box and inside of it I was so surprised and excited to find a … [Read more...]

The quilt is huge, 80x92 (2x2.3 m) and stitching all those pebbles took me 3 days, and a lot of thread. I used the three green spools of King Tut. Detail of quilting. It was very easy to … [Read more...]

My weekend
Hi everyone, I hope you spent a wonderful weekend, mine wasn't wonderful at all. After I made a beautiful quilting on the center of a quilt, on Friday evening I started to quilt the background.
