I wash all my quilts after I finish them. If a quilt is not too large I wash it by hand. After washing, all the quilts go in the washing machine for a short cycle of spinning. After that, if the quilt is small I lay it to dry on a flat surface. If the surface I have is too small for the quilt, I usually hang the quilt to dry on this cardboard tube ( used by the fabric manufacturers for … [Read more...]
Beautiful fabrics
A few weeks ago I had to buy a spool of water soluble thread. But how to justify $14 shipping for just one spool of thread ? So that I ordered a few yards of fabric too and I ended up paying $29 ! Great math and great saving !I just couldn’t resist to these fabrics from equilter.com.These are from 'Serenity' collection by Daiwabo for E.E. Schenck. And these are from 'Connections' collection by … [Read more...]
New bag

What to do without computer and sewing machine ?As I don't have enough patience for stitching by hand, I cut the pieces for a few new bags.Unfortunately I don't have time to stitch them. This is the only one I finished, my sister Oana asked me to make it for one of her friends. This heavy cotton canvas from Ikea is fabulous for bags. … [Read more...]

A new baby quilt

Usually I don't … [Read more...]
