I made the pattern for my next baby quilt.I wanted to make a quick and easy quilt and I ended up designing a block with 21 pieces. But it is easy, only squares and rectangles.I will use these fabrics for half of the blocks and these for the other half. Background fabrics are included.Hopefully I will not change my mind until Thurday when I'll start cutting the fabrics. Enjoy a beautiful day ! … [Read more...]
Easy blocks
I will have a busy summer and there is not a chance to finish the quilt for my husband. I want to make two pillows to complement the quilt, I am happy that I made their center! I need bigger blocks so that I will add some strips to them. I used a striped fabric, I cut four strips and I stacked them. Fabrics with straight stripes work best. I cut a set of quarter square triangles with … [Read more...]
Green things and a new beginning
My friends know I love all things green. I love daisies too.Teodora sent me these pretty little things. They are to dye for. Thank you, Teodora !After 23 years, we have a new baby in the family. Batting
I just bought a new bolt of batting for my future projects. It measures 84"x 55 yds. I did not sell my house to buy it ! Because I did not buy it from abroad ( if you don't know that shipping is so expensive for batting, lucky you!).I am still lucky because for most of my quilts I can buy batting here in Romania. It's a thick fluffy polyester batting but it works wonderfully for many of my … [Read more...]
