I couldn’t help myself and I made another Amelie bag.
Could you tell seeing this picture that there is something strange with this bag ?
If you would say it is a miniature, you would be right. I love to make miniatures so I just had to try and make a miniature bag.
The small bag is 35% from the original size and measures 4″x5″ (10x 12.5 cm).
Here are the fabric pieces and the paper templates. When I saw how tiny are the templates I was in doubt I could sew the pieces…
The fabric I used is a stretch denim, heavy enough so that I did not use interfacing… It took me more than one hour to make it. The only difficult part was sewing the piping…
When I will be tired by making my usual stuff, I will try to make even a smaller version…
This could be my new addiction…I would love to have a collection of different sizes in different colors…
I wish you a sunny week ! Right now is snowing over here.
It is just lovely. How fun to make it in miniature.

How did you do it? It's tiny!
Ce haioasa imi pare fotografia cu cele 2 gentute! :))
THat is too cute. Still hoping to win that pattern so I can make one for myself and some for my girls. Such a lovely design.

Very lovely!
That is just so sweet! What a fun idea. I love your design.
I love that little bag – but can't believe you actually managed piping at that tiny scale. Wow!
A gorgeous little bag. The colours are so fresh.
Lovely, I am looking forward to seeing a smaller version
Who wouldn't love one of these bags!
I love the flowers, are they crocus?
We are the opposite to you at the moment, hot and humid with a cyclone hovering.
Dear Greta, Just love the miniature bag how beautiful.

I have to get busy and make your purse…I have had the pattern for a while now….they are just wonderful!!
Nu doar miniaturile dar si cele mari sunt extraordinare.
Esti foarte inspirata ! Felicitari…
Hi Geta, thank you for the purse patterns. I’m anxious to get started on them. Do you use a universal needle, a sharps, or denim for these thicker bags?
I think it’s time to get my Pfaff serviced- having a hard time with my tension.
All the best to you!
Alicia, the Jeans/Denim Needles are the best. I have a Pfaff too, it sews beautifully thick fabrics.
