Here is the top of my new quilt. I would have loved to add some pieced borders (because it is a little shorter) but I ran out of tan fabric.
I was a little nervous while I pieced the blocks because I did not know how all these colors work together but I think the tan fabric tie them wonderfully! I love it !
Sure I would have loved it even more with white fabric instead of tan. But I ran out of white fabric too (and generally of neutral fabrics) so this was the only option I had on hand.
The design of the block is fat quarter friendly (even fat eight) and I used most of the solid stash I have.
My husband looked at the top and suggested me another design. He told me that I should pay him for this
I did not tell him that I already thought of that design!
I loved the piecing, the block involved a few steps though.
Pepe loves the top too and he would be happy to let it un-quilted because it is hot here.
I am planning a variation of the design.
Happy Sewing to you all!
Una maravilla de colcha…y que rápido la hiciste.
Tendrás que comprar más tela para seguir trabajando……Que suerte tener a tu marido de ayudante.
I like it – you did a great job.
