Finally! It is done!
I love this Dresden Fan block variation! A lot!
Next time when I will make it again, I would like to make 2 quilts. One with the blocks that look like circles and the second one with the blocks that look like octagons.
The block is huge (17” square) and the top measures 68” x 85”.
The pattern requires a lot of fabric. I used about 5 yards just from the white fabric.

Despite so many seams for one block, I think this is a quick and easy pattern.
The quilting for this top is not on the “to do” list for this week, but I think I can’t make anything else until I will finish it!

Complete pattern available, if you want to sew your own version.

This is stunning. I know you gave directions, but I'm a bit confused. Would you consider making this into a pattern or doing a more detailed tutorial?

Geta, I follow you via Bloglovin' and went down a rabbit trail looking at posts. I ended up at your wonderful posts about the Dresden plates – and then making them into octagons – squares for quilts. I don't like making assumptions, so I'm asking how you finished the holes (centers) of the Dresdens, if you are like me, you may not readily recall. I'm thinking you either hand or machine appliqued them. My quilt guild is having a challenge for members to make a charity quilt for a toddler/baby for our November meeting. I think it would be an adorable idea for either males or females depending on the fabrics. I've never used my Dresden ruler. Actually, we have a ruler lending library that has some interesting rulers. I'm librarian of our books. So, I get to buy books for our library this year – as well as supplies needed for the library from our allotted budget. I didn't know all the ins and outs that I had to do when I took the job and I'm learning.

This is doesn’t look like the latter I have already purchased. The old bloc were 13″ not 17″. I can’t tell the rest of the pattern unless I purchase it adan. Any thoughts?
