These tote bags kept me busy this week.
The fabric is a heavyweight cotton from Ikea.
This one is really large, great for shopping or a walk to the beach.
For this one I change a little the pattern.
It is smaller and with rounded corners.
Isn’t the stripped fabric versatile ? This pattern requires two fabrics. I did not have another fabric to match with the green strips, so I changed the orientations of the strips. Love it!
Now I want to make 2 totes in small size and make happy two mother-daughter teams!

Ooh, I love them both, but using the strips in those ways makes the green one my favourite, I think.

I would love to know which pattern this one is! I also really like the green one. I think it is a combination of the fabric and the rounded corners. Nice!

Love the green stripe. This post linked back to one on June 5 2009, where you modified the shape. I can see how you make front and back stay together, but how did you make the sides stay tucked in?

so crisp and clean looking! I must make a bag, sooner or later!
