My sister Nina gave me a helping hand (or two!) last week and we stitched 3 new cubes.
Could you see the cubes ? I hope so!
2 more cubes to make.
Could you see the difference between these two pictures ? The same picture, just rotated 180 degrees.
I still have time to decide which way to use them.
I love the 3D look. The same as in this quilt.
My tutorial for making the hexy cubes is here.
Have a great sewing day,

I am linking to WIP Wednesday.

I like the way you and your sisters quilt together – that's really nice. I love the optical illusion of your cube blocks. What are you making – a quilt or a smaller project?

I love the 3D cubes. Recently I've been toying with the idea of making an optical illusion quilt – going to bookmark this idea, thank you! I can see the 3D-ness equally well in both orientations, but personally prefer the left hand one. The right hand picture makes my brain think the cubes are defying gravity… ๐

I like tue left hand one too.

I don't normally go for hexies but this one really is cool! Your photo drew me right in and I'm glad I stopped by – well done

I'm not usually a lover of Hex's but you've changed my mind about them. I love the layout on the left the 3D effect is stunning.

Oh my gosh, how cool is that??! I totally thought they WERE cubes until I clicked and saw they were hexi's – awesome!! ๐

It's 3D! For my eyes the left orientation of the cubes is more real. The colors are lovely, like allways in your work.

Those are incredible!!!

Wow! They are gorgeous! I like the one on the left, with the dark sides on the left – I could see the cubes better that way. Thanks for sharing!
