I have a few colors of faux leather and I can’t sew anything else until I use them all; so I started!
This time I stitched the seam allowances down with a very thick, decorative thread. It’s 100% polyester and shiny. I think it looks like the thread used for topstitching on jeans.
I have a few colors, I am glad I found an use for them.
NOTE: In this picture I did not stitch with the thick thread. |
Of course, they (like many other threads) unwind very easily; most of the time I am not a very organized person, but sometimes I realize that some details matter and make your life easier – like this little sticker.
Have a happy sewing day,
Geta

very good job – that's not easy to sew on

Olá, lindo trabalho, mas eu confesso que raramente consigo usar essas linhas, tenho algumas, mas elas arrebentam com muita facilidade. Só uso quando estou com muita paciência.
Parabéns pelo seu dom. Fique com Deus, beijos.

Those pesky shiny threads do unwind easily so do like your solution. Again. pretty faux leathers.

That sticker's a great idea. Threads drive me nuts with their unspooling. heh!

I m curious to know the machine you use and do you use a Teflon (non stick foot) for your faux leather. the stitching is beautiful
