I wanted to share with you how I made this quilt, if you want to make your own version.
I printed the pattern of this English paper pieced quilt. There are simple flowers with space between them.
I wanted more flowers and I started to mark simple flowers, without space between them, onto the paper pattern. I started from the very center and marked the center of a flower. Then I marked the 6 surrounded hexagons (use a thick marker for this). Then I continued the same way.
When I transferred the design to fabric, I transferred the center marking of all the flowers too.
Then I quilted each flower individually, started from the flower’s center.
A very fun and quick project.
If you already bought this pattern, you might want to give it a try.
But use the thickest thread you could use with your sewing machine. The quilting will have more definition (and color if you use different colors).
Some day I will make a wholecloth version of this quilt too.
Happy sewing,
Geta

I never thought of adapting a pattern to a wholecloth, like you have done with these. Very clever 🙂
