I wanted to share with you a free program I started to use: Evernote.
Here is what it does:
Evernote makes it easy to remember things big and small from your everyday life using your computer, phone, tablet and the web.
Essentially, it is a way to keep organized important information and you can easily access this information.
Let’s say you want to learn a quilting technique. You search the web and find a lot of tutorials. Lots of pretty pictures as inspiration for your next projects.
With Evernote you can save any information you want into a note: links, photos, text, videos, pdfs… Everything on one page!
You make different notebooks for different subjects. And for each notebook you make notes. Fast and easy.

Here are a few articles I found on the web- see how crafters use Evernote.
I think I will be more organized from now on.
Give it a try,
Geta

I do use Evernote, but I don't know how to get that much out of it. I save quilt photos, tutorials, etc. It opens on the iPad and my laptop. I need to learn how to use it more. Thanks for the nudge.

Thanks for sharing, Geta. I'm definitely going to check this out – I need all the help I can get to organize the 'stuff' that I collect.

I agree! Evernote is fantastic. I've used the paid version (small annual fee) for a few years, for everything from sermon notes to projects-in-progress, travel itineraries, quilt block diagrams and notes, kitchen remodel comparison charts, etc. The thing I like the most is that I can access all my notes on my phone, tablet, iPod Touch, and my laptop so I don't have to wonder "where did I put that list" (or note or how-to instruction). You can even collect emails on it by sending them to your Evernote email address – great for online order confirmations!
