So you have only one scrap of fabric left and you can’t finish that block because the piece is too small. It’s only 1/8” smaller than the desired size!! Or 3/16”.
Do not throw it away and do not despair! You still could use it – successfully!
Here is what you have to do:
– keep the smaller piece on top
– align the left edges of the patches
– stitch with 1/4” seam allowance, aligning the edge of the foot with the edge of the bottom (correct size) patch.
Voila! Perfect pieces – only one seam allowance smaller, but that’s not an impediment at all.
