I am so excited to share with you my latest creation. Isn’t the birthday of a friend a good reason to try something new? Something cool!
I loved so much this bag in argyle pattern I made last year and I wanted to try something similar. Since that bag isn’t the easiest thing I sewed I decided that it is the time for something more simple. And so my new woven bag was born.
It’s actually a shopping bag, it doesn’t have any pocket and no closure.
Making the weaving pattern took me some time, but once I had the pattern, weaving and putting the bag together was a piece of cake!
I decided not to stitch the faux leather strips in place. The look would have been changed, but next time I will do it, I am very curious about it.
Now you know what the stencil was for!
It was so much fun to make it! I think I can’t start (or finish) anything else until I weave some more patterns!
