Geta this is the hardest thing for anyone who creates is to figure out what to charge. I struggle with this a lot. Unless someone is wealthy, they do not want to pay the price for what a quilt or other item might really be worth in terms of material cost and labor, (and we never get anything for wear and tear on our machines, irons, tools and electricity). We are lucky if we can make $1 an hour creating something. I usually make less than what I made as a child earning an allowance, which was 25 cents hour for doing a few chores. I totally agree with you that sitting in your closet where no one can see them or enjoy them isn't doing you or anyone else any good either. People always say we must value our work, but when no one is willing or able to pay the price for our work, then we are forced to sell at prices that are lower than we would really like to get. Unless you are super famous like quilting celebrities, you cannot ask as much for your quilts, which is unfair, but that's life. Geta your quilts are gorgeous and if I wasn't already a quilter with a closet full of things myself that I am trying to sell, I would buy a quilt or two of yours. Good luck!
Your wonderful quilts deserve a warm loving home! Every one is a piece of art, with a great optical impact, with vivid colors and stunning quilting! Good luck!
