I am having much fun with this quilt! It’s small (38”).
You probably think that I am obsessed with feathers! I do love the look of quilted feathers but I love even more that it is so easy to quilt them!
If you want to practice and draw feathers on paper, I can assure you that quilting them is easier than drawing them!
It’s important to quilt on small shapes. This is why I divided the large triangles in a few areas.
I still have to quilt the 5” borders.
The fabric is Fusion from Robert Kaufman and the quilting thread is Aurifil 40wt.
Now to show you the whole top! The center design measures 28” and I started with a 2” octagon in the center.
I took pictures for the pattern and next week I will send it to a few testers.
Meanwhile, I have to quilt all those smaller blocks and the Fossil Fern bigger version too.
Happy weekend,
Geta

Another beautiful quilting job. You make it look and sound so easy, but I know how much skill you have. It's interesting to see from the ripples in the white where the quilting stops just how much take up/shrinkage there is in a top when it is quilted quite densely (just how I love it).
