I know many of you love fabric boxes!
Here is a new box- it’s so quick and easy to sew it and it’s perfect for showcasing a wonderful little piece of fabric.
Here are my little boxes: the pretty fabric scrap measures 6”x6”.
The base of the box measures 4”x6” and the front side is 2” tall.
I sewed these boxes exactly the same way I sewed these flower boxes (please review that tutorial if you want to sew your own boxes).
The measurements for all the pieces are below.
You have to prepare the pieces and zig zag all the edges.
Then you have to attach the sides to the base.
Then finally you sew the corners.

Now that you learned the technique, you could sew your boxes in any other shape or size.
First, you have to decide the shape of the base then you design the sides.
Test your boxes first on paper. Make paper templates and sew them. It’s a quick way to see the shape and size of your box before cutting your fabric and interfacing.I do this for all my new boxes.
If you want to sew your own boxes, download below templates for 3 sizes.
This post is the second in the series “5 Quick Gifts to sew for Christmas”. See all the posts here.
