I finished my English paper pieced pieces – so much fun!
It all started with a small octagon and 8 triangles that surround it. The pieces could be finished at this stage…
…but I chose to add another row of bigger triangles.
I fused my pieces to some heavyweight interfacing (Decovil) and “quilted” them.
I now have two coasters and a little placemat.
Of course, they could be quilted on batting.
The fabric is “Fossil Fern” by Benartex and the Aurifil 50wt was perfect to stitch through the heavyweight interfacing.
This is the third pattern in the “Loving Hugs” series.
Loving Hugs III – English paper piecing, two rows of triangles (only one row is an option too)
