Hello friends!
It’s time to show you my new work in progress! One design and eight different ways to color it. See below the first two.
See here the difference between the two colorways.
The design measures 25” and I am not sure how to finish it.
The mosaic technique is the one I used for this quilt; I can’t wait to quilt and wash them – those lines that will disappear are pretty annoying now.
I want to sew all 8 designs, because:
- I have three sisters that each weekend are asking me when we will make the next ones! They fused the designs for these two quilts and everything was so FUN, like putting together a puzzle!
For the first one we worked on the floor (I had to take some pictures) and could you believe, they did not complain at all, even if:
– one sister is pregnant in 5 months
– one has back pains
– one has knee pains
I have no pain but they sent me to make dinner! Do you remember? They are not quilters! - I want to use other techniques too
- I want to use other colors
- Possibly other sizes
Now, I have help to make the tops, but I will have to quilt them all by myself! Hopefully, I will show you some progress soon.
How would you finish 8 pieces that measure at least 25”? At first, I thought to make some round floor pillows, now, I am not sure that I have enough patience! Thanks for your suggestions!
Have a great sewing week,

I would put all 8 together with a border and sashings and make myself a quilt for my bed! The pattern is great! Love it!

Hello Geta, This is such an amazingly gorgeous design! In my opinion, I would make it into a quilt and add some beautiful appliqued flowers, stems and leaves, curving their way all around it. Yet, honestly anything you do will be a sensational piece of artwork that will be gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!

If you make one more, you could put them 3×3 and the quilt would be big enough for a double or queen-sized bed. You can expand it however much you need with sashings and borders. It is an amazing design. Thanks so much for sharing this. I am going to try to make one this summer (except I broke my back, so things are going more slowly than I would like. However, it gives my lots of time to search out sites such as yours. I am SO glad I found this site.
