Do you remember the pouches I posted a few days ago? I told you they will be hidden into another gift…
… so here is the other gift: a smaller Amelie bag (I printed the original pattern at 80%).
I wanted to pair the flower with a simple fabric, that’s why I chose to use the striped fabric.
The small flower print is so cute, I am glad I also used it for the 2-color straps.
The folded flower is not appliqued to the bag, I just attached it with the button. As you see, the edges of this flower are finished with a fine zig-zag; there are so many options for this flower!
More about the flower’s pattern by the end of the week.
Would you like to easily sew your own mini bags?

Have a wonderful and productive sewing week!

Congratulations on your graduation anniversary . Also the time spent with your former classmates. Mine was 51 yrs ago. I’ve missed all of mine, kept up with a few people and gave up a bunch. Most of the ones I kept are church buddies. Just spent a month in Austria with one and his mother. I started quilting with my grandmother before I started 1st grade. She put 2 marks on my finger. I sat under the frame, she put the needle through the fabric and ,using the 2 marks, I sent the needle back up. To this day I think of her many times. I will piece by machine or by hand but I will QUILT by hand!! Your patience and instructions are so like Mamaw – thank you. If I am lucky enough to visit your country , one of my goals would be to meet you in person .

Love your reunion story! And I love your new flower for purses! I have your pattern already so I want to make a new purse with the flower! Hope I can do at least a half decent job on it! I have a question for you. Where is your favorite place to do your shopping for fabric? Some of the internet places are so expensive and I have to wait until they have a sale. I now need to make a purse just for me!
