Hello friends!
Do you make progress in your quilting? I feel that I am less and less productive, because I have too many projects in the works: four, three of them started in the last 2 weeks!
So here is one of them (actually, the starting point!):
If you recall this quilt, this project started the same: a few pretty designs; I thought to sew only a few, in different sizes, to see the possibilities.
Fabric is Kona cotton and the tread is …
… the fabulous Aurifil 12wt – yes, that very thick thread!
And this is the second free motion quilting design.
And the third: a square free motion quilting design.
Then I added new designs and I changed my mind about what project I want to make. And I just can’t only stare at the beautiful designs, I have to sew them. Because they are fun!
Now, it’s not only about the textured quilting, it’s about color, too. Meanwhile, I couldn’t resist playing with colors – only on my computer, this time!
What do you think?
It’s a cute idea?
Oh My God idea?
Or blah, it’s not for me?
One thing that can’t be neglected: the designs are continuous – quilting done from start to finish in one continuous line!
Happy quilting!

These are wonderful. I do want to know more. How do you design so that it is nearly perfect – computer – free hand? If you’re doing the design free-motion, how do you know how much room to leave between lines? Beautiful.
Geta Grama says
The design is made on computer, then I transferred it to fabric and I quilted it. Not hard at all to follow the lines with needle and thread!!

What do you use to transfer to the fabric? Trace with a chalk pencil or what brand of marker? Beautiful work!!
Geta Grama says
I use washable markers designed for kids.
