Daisies are among my favorite flowers and I was so anxious to buy a few prints from the “Oops a Daisy” collection (by Kanvas Studio for Benartex). The first project I could think of was a new fabric cake!
The stripe print is perfect for fussy cutting and the kaleidoscope effect makes the cake special!!
Aren’t this boxes adorable?
I have used my own pattern – it’s so good when you don’t have to think of what size to use, how to make the templates or what pieces to cut! I just open the file, printed the template and scribbled a few measurements on a piece of paper. It was quick and easy and in less than half of a day, I finished the cake. I definitely appreciated the pattern and I can tell you it is great when you are able to appreciate your own work!!
If you are wondering what to do with double-sided fusible interfacing, a project like this is the answer. For this cake, I used heavyweight Fast2Fuse interfacing.
Happy sewing!
Pretty!
These gift boxes are so nice. Looking at them makes me want to sew some boxes of my own
Well done, Geta!!!
Just gorgeous! I’ll be buying that pattern!
